Lakers reach western conference finals with rare road win

The Lakers are back to the West finals for the first time since 2004. They needed 34pts from Kobe to do it. They survived a furious rally in the waning moments by the Jazz to accomplish it. Whatever happened in game 6, L.A is the team that advances. They won 108-105 vs Utah.

The Lakers led by 19 at halftime and by 16 entering the final quarter, but the Jazz stormed back in the game, and with a flurry of threes in the final two minutes, they found themselves one basket away to tie it on the final play. They needed a three and L.A defense made it look tough to find a good look. With Kobe garding him, D.Williams missed his attempt at the buzzer as the Lakers started to celebrate with a relief.

Kobe lead the way with 34pts 8rbds & 6ast and had several key baskets to put Utah out of reach. Gasol & Odom combined for 30pts 22rbds & 5blks. Six players scores in double figures for L.A, which only get the 2nd road win of these playoffs 2nd round.
"It's been a great journey and we want to keep it rolling. It's a great accomplishment to get to the conference finals, but we believe we can accomplish much more." KB24
