Kobe scores season high 52pts in OT win vs Dallas

Through three quarters, Kobe had a normal night with 22pts & an unusual experience at the line, missing 7 of his first 10. Then, he just put on quite a show. KB exploded for 30pts in the 4th quarter & OT, making his last 17 free throws and leading his team to a wild win vs the Mavs.

In the first meeting between the two teams more than one month ago, Gasol was not wearing a Lakers uniform yet while Kidd was still playing for New Jersey. Now both clubs made blockbuster trades with major hopes to championship.

Gasol had 14pts & 11rbds. Kidd had 15pts 11asts & 4steals and made a basket while being fouled by Gasol with 11 seconds to go in OT. But he missed the free throw that could have tied the game. Then, Kobe made both of his foul shots - giving him a season best 52pts.

Kobe was just unstoppable in the 4th, scoring 22pts and leading L.A to a late rally. Down by three with 6 seconds to go, Dallas needed a big shot. Nowitski stepped up after an horrible shooting performance and hit the game tying three pointer. But Kobe was too determined, so fired up that he didn't let his team lose it. He added 8 more points in the OT, leading L.A to its 42nd win of the season - matching the team's last year total.

Kobe reached the 40pt mark for the 91th time - 50 for the 22nd time. He shot 15 of 27 from the field and made 20 of 27 free throws. He moved into the 25th place in the all time scoring list and need just 11pts to get  21000 pts in his career.
