L.A won its fifth straight game, its longest streak since Kobe's last year explosion. Back in march, he averaged 53,6pts in five consecutive games - all Lakers wins.

This time he delivered another special performance. Playing through a viral respiratory infection, he managed to get 37pts - 16 of those came in the last 9 minutes of play. He drilled 5 threes while dishing out 8asts.

But Kobe was not the only one to put big numbers for L.A (24-11). Andrew Bynum recorded 25pts and a career high 17rbds, to go along his 3 blocks. The Young fellow continues to impress and his quick improvement is one of the reason L.A has been playing so well the last couple of weeks.

L.A won 110-105 over Milwaukee for its 15th victory in the last 18 games. But L.A biggest test is to come. After what it should be two easy games vs Memphis & Seattle, they gonna face five consecutive championship contenders, before playing nine straight road games.

We'll quickly see if the 08 Lakers are for real. Last year at this time, they started to fall apart. They're a much better team this season. But we have to wait until the all star break and the end of the upcoming 15-17 games to judge if they're truly championship contenders.
