Kobe's 49pts 10asts lead L.A to 2-0 over Denver

One of his best playoffs games ever. Just that simple. Kobe was hot early...and get it going again in the 4th to give the Lakers their second straight victory over the Nuggets in the series 122-107.

Kobe scored 20pts in the opening quarter - 16 of those in the last 4 1/2 minutes. Then he became more a facilitator, dishing out the most of his assists. But KB got hot again and just took over the game at the offensive end, scoring 19pts in a span of 4:20 minutes in the 4th quarter. Kobe finished with 49pts - 1 shy of his playoffs career high - on 18 of 27 shooting.

Kobe became became just the 4th player in the last 15 years to record at least 40pts & 10asts. “Tonight, the way he was going, we probably could have put 10 people on the court and probably wouldn’t have been able to stop him”, Iverson said. 

Asked about his great performance, Kobe said: “I didn’t realize it. You just get into one of those rhythms. My teammates were looking for me, it just feels like the ball finds you.”
