Kobe scores 46 on Raptors, celebrates promising day

Some hours after the Lakers acquired Pau Gasol from Memphis, Kobe put on a show in Toronto, leading his team to a convincing 121-101  victory 24 hours after a disapointing loss in Detroit.

Now with a former all star added on the roster until Bynum returns, Kobe put the final touch to this big day in a typical KB style. Going 19 of 28 from the field, he scored 46pts on a variety of high flying dunks and sick shots, highlighted by a tough fadeway three in the corner with 1sec left on the shot clock to close out the third quarter.

But Kobe got some help too. When the Raptors send two or three guys on him, he dished out to his teammates who made big shots down the stretch - guys like Farmar (13pts) & Vujacic (career high 22pts on 8/10 shooting). Despite being in foul troubles, Odom almost got a triple double with 12pts 10rbds & 8asts. 
The Lakers (29-15) will play at Washington on Sunday - probably the first game for Pau Gasol in a Purple & Gold uniform.
