James' 41 tops Kobe's 33, Lakers
Another matchup with a contender. Another loss for L.A. Lebron outdueled Kobe once again and lead the Cavs to its fifth straight win vs the Lakers.
Lebron was unstoppable attacking the rim and won the clutch battle vs the player he considers as "the greatest on earth". He made a big basket over Kobe's defense while adding two key free throws in the last 20 seconds. Unlike Lebron, Kobe failed to score in the waning seconds. He missed a lay-up, then never get a clean look on what would have been a potential game tying shot.
Kobe scored 33pts while adding 12rbds & 6asts - for his 4th straight double double. But after hitting his first six shots, he cooled off, missing 15 of 21 from the field. Odom had 14pts but nobody else score more than 9pts for L.A.
L.A (27-15) has lost its 3rd straight game and is now 2-4 since Bynum injured his knee. After hosting a bas Knicks team at Staples on Tuesday, the Lakers will play the next nine games on the road, a BIG test for a team which seems to be kind of lost without its young center. They'll need great contributions from both Kobe and the whole team if they want to get off this wild road still being in the playoffs race.
